At a client’s request, Mingzhou Intelligent just tested a new method – using a 20mm diameter, 0.4mm thick stainless-steel pipe.
Without any traditional bending machine, the team bent it perfectly to 90 degrees in only 13 seconds!
How? Using high-precision laser cutting, the system creates special curved grooves along the pipe surface.
In seconds, these micro-grooves allow the pipe to be bent smoothly by hand into a clean 90° bend with an R50 radius – no expensive equipment or molds needed.
Traditional bending relies on slow, costly machines. This new approach is ideal for custom, small-batch orders – faster, cheaper, and ultra-flexible.
It’s especially useful for industries like medical devices, high-end furniture, and new energy vehicles where precision matters.
As laser tech keeps improving, “cutting to bend” could become the new norm in pipe processing.
